Mental health is just as important as physical health. In fact, there is a strong connection between our body and our mind. We can’t be balanced if we only focus on our physical health, ignoring our psychological state. It’s important to take care of every part of ourselves in order to find the balance and the self love we all deserve.
HQ is passionate about helping you become the best version of yourself all around. So, we have created a page with some suggestions and tools that have helped us improve our mental health, in hopes that we can help you on your self-improvement journey!

MOVE
Movement is medicine. It boosts our energy levels, moods, concentration skills, and self-image. Exercise can help reduce depression and anxiety by releasing endorphins that give us pleasure and lessens pain.

SELF-CARE
Make yourself a priority. Self-care will look different from person to person as there are many different forms. Self-care should feel like you are recharging or refueling your mind and body. This can include, reading, journaling, a spa day, cleaning, taking a walk, attending a therapy session, meditating, going for coffee with friends, and so many other things. Allowing your body to experience daily self-care will improve your moods, help your stress and anxiety levels, improve your immune health, and aid in a faster recovery. You cannot pour from an empty cup. It's only when you you are full that you can overflow to others.

RELEASE/DETACHMENT
We must let go and accept what we cannot change. There's typically four "P's" that we get attached to- Past, Pain, People & Power. Hanging onto these things can weigh us down, and cause us to make excuses for not moving forward in life. It can become heavy and exhausting. Releasing any attachments allows us to begin the healing, control our emotions, reclaim our power and genuniely be ourselves.
Journaling, talking to a therapist, meditation and prayer are great ways to help us release & detach. Make room for the new, learn to go with the flow, & trust in divine timing.

GAIN KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge has the ability to help you access endless opportunities and advancements in life. Having a strong base of knowledge helps our brains function more smoothly and effectively. Gaining knowledge in different areas can help aid in creativity, happiness, innovation, self discovery, self confidence, and positivity. Some of our favorite ways to learn are reading, listening to podcasts or motivational videos, and networking with people who are more successful than us.
